Wow.

The server died, as I'm sure many of you will have noticed. We've lost all the actual files (although we have full backups of those, so they're not much of a problem to replace) but we thought the DB had gone as well. Somehow, I'm not entirely sure how...by some miracle, it's intact.

Anyway, surprise surprise I'm now taking a full database backup! We're definitely going to discuss a proper backup plan now though, this has happened far too often. We really have been spectacularly unlucky.

Got to be honest with you guys, I thought this was the end of PW as we know it. No accounts, no posts, no data? Big problems. But for now, I'm tentatively optimistic.

EDIT: Hopefully the subdomain will have updated on everyone's DNS by now, as the root domain is now redirecting here Wwe really should be running the forums solely through the subdomain anyway...time to put in a rewrite rule methinks.
