Thread: Domain Downtime

    Domain Downtime

Hello everyone! Surely you're wondering why PeerWeb.org took you to a lame advertisement filled website for the past three days. Well the answer is simple: I forgot to renew the domain name. The next thing you may be asking yourself is "didn't we run into this same problem last year?" Yes, we did. I hope you're willing to accept the lost days and my humblest apologies. It would seem my memory never works well with such things, luckily there were no server issues at all, just the unpaid domain. Now we are back in business however, good as new! I also made sure to renew the domain for several years this time, so we won't have a repeat of this for at least 3 years! Thanks for hanging in there.

3 years? Surely you won't forget it, right? Or is the next domain downtime scheduled for 2010?

Don't you get e-mails before it expires with "your domain is almost expired, do you want to renew it?" or something?

That is what I thought someone forgot to renew something and it would be back up soon.

    Re: Domain Downtime

No problems just happy it is still up and running. I did think I was in a time warp though. You see I did a search for "what happened to Peerweb.org" and I found on P2P a forum that said the same thing but was dated Jan 06. It was the same right down to the lame advertising description.
